Al’s COVID-19 Message
Holla fam,
Sigh. We hope you are all doing well in this time of confusion and threat (mental and physical health, business, employment ), we send our love out to everyone at this time.
We will spare you from the Covid-19 rhetoric as we are all glued to our devices at the moment and you don't need to hear the same thing reiterated any more unnecessarily. We do feel we need to inform you of some things, general housekeeping for want of a better term.
We will be commencing a delivery service on Monday 30th at 5pm! We are working hard to get the technical side of our order system sorted. We are now based in Alexandria in our shiny new kitchen and servicing the southwest region to begin with. Our designers have been busy building an online order system which will be accessed on our website and we hope as many people as possible will use it over our delivery app accounts as they incur a huge commission rate (UberEats 35%). :(
We will therefore be able to pass reduced cost on to all of our valued customers (all items on our menu will be cheaper to purchase through our website).
Our new kitchen is wonderfully enclosed in glass and we obviously won't be opening it to the public so hygiene standards will be paramount. Myself and our head chef Josh will be doing all the cooking for now to ensure we maintain a standard and peace of mind for you. Josh is asthmatic and I have a father that has had pneumonia a couple times in the last couple years so we both take this whole thing very, very seriously. We will also be offering contactless delivery on both our own service and the delivery platforms.
Over the 9 years we have been in business, we have kept accounts with as many local suppliers as possible to support our local economy and now more than ever, is the time to do so. Our produce comes from Redfern Fruit Market, buns from Bos Bakery and meat from Jim's Butchery in Darlinghurst which are all needing our support as most of their revenue will be drying up in the next few weeks.
Help us help you
As we know most of you will be working from home for the foreseeable future, we want to help you through this process. Being cooped up without a choice is going to be challenging and we would love to hear how we can help.
We are implementing an extended menu and if you have any ideas, please let us know! These are some ideas we are considering:
